A Weekend of Sketching

I did'nt have much time to paint this weekend so I broke out the sketch book and a Winsor Newton Watercolor Paint set my wife bought me for Christmas. Thought I would never use it, but I was inspired by another Blogger, BOWSPRITE. So I decided to give it a try. Here's the result of my first try at watercolor sketching. Painted while I sat in my car at Gorton's of Gloucesters Wharf. Took about an hour to do. Unfortunately there were a couple of Seagulls with good Aim. I'll let the rain wash my car tomorrow. Also there are a couple of quick charcoal and Pen sketches. One is of the Paint Factory with a Lobster Boat passing Sketched from the Fort Playground. The other is of the view of Stage Fort Park from the Cupboard restaurants parking lot.

yes! more sketchbook shots please! love the paintings!

let me tell you about Joey's Homies! One seagull watched me paint for awhile. When I took a break, it flew down, poked at my red paint, and dabbed at my paper! It eyed it, liked it, and flew off. True story.
