"Sunrise on Niles Pond"
Oil on board. Here is a color study I did for a larger painting I'm working on. I'm trying to keep it loose. It's of Niles Pond here in Gloucester, ma. at Sunrise. It's from a photo my friend Sharon Lowe Took. Niles Pond is seperated from the atlantic Ocean at one point only by a thin patch of land and rocks. Every year the residents of Easten point re enforce that section of land so the pond is'nt lost to the ocean. C&C WELCOMED.
