A Weekend of Sketching

I did'nt have much time to paint this weekend so I broke out the sketch book and a Winsor Newton Watercolor Paint set my wife bought me for Christmas. Thought I would never use it, but I was inspired by another Blogger, BOWSPRITE. So I decided to give it a try. Here's the result of my first try at watercolor sketching. Painted while I sat in my car at Gorton's of Gloucesters Wharf. Took about an hour to do. Unfortunately there were a couple of Seagulls with good Aim. I'll let the rain wash my car tomorrow. Also there are a couple of quick charcoal and Pen sketches. One is of the Paint Factory with a Lobster Boat passing Sketched from the Fort Playground. The other is of the view of Stage Fort Park from the Cupboard restaurants parking lot.

"Stranded on the Annisquam" WIP

Here is a W.I.P.(work in progress)of a Painting I did Last Year of a boat at it's mooring at low tide.
It's Right around the Bend from the A. Piatt Andrew Bridge Looking Northwest down the Annisquam River. It gets Dangerous at dead low tide here.
